Dardionu Rahat Fund

Established in the year 1964, the Dardionu Rahat Fund was started by two friends named Mr. Naginbhai shah And Shri Niranjanaben Soni. All they had was a 10 Rupee note with unlimited self-confidence and selfless desire to serve the needy patients.

Since then for the last 47 years, the trust provides full-fledged services to the poor patients across several hospitals named Sheth V. S. Hospital, Jivraj Mehta Hospital, etc. Right from gifting medicines to offering fruits, ear-phones, artificial limbs to the underprivileged.

Volunteers here tend to visit General Wards of Sheth V. S. Hospital on a daily basis and aims to render the service of medical aid to the patients. About Rs. 6,00,000/- is used by the trust on a monthly basis. And during its entire tenure of 47 years the Trust has collected over Rs. 10 Crore and 16 Lac which is strictly being used in helping the poor patients only.

Those patients who are poor and needy, volunteers here tend to help them by paying their medical and investigation bills of general hospitals of Ahmedabad such as V.S. Hospital, Cancer Hospital, Jivraj Mehta Hospital, Civil Hospital (Sola).

• Their activities include bed to bed visit and thoroughly verify the needs of Patient and provide aid accordingly without setting any budget. Their services aren’t limited to their discharge as they even take a follow up for medicines required later on.
• Apart from this, they also assist by providing Orthopedic and Rehabilitate devices viz. Artificial limbs, wheelchairs, workers, Calipers, Crutches, Hearing Aids to poor and needy Patients.
