Do you know that around twenty million people in India are suffering from different kinds of kidney diseases? Located in Civil Hospital Campus, Asarwa, Ahmedabad, the Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre was established on October 7, 1981. Service, Education, and Research are the three equal and strong, interrelating and intersupporting pillars of their service. Built on 15,000 sq. mts, the largest institute in the world also features 400 indoor beds for Nephrology, Urology, and Transplantation.
The institute has been registered under Societies Registration Act, as a public trust and is also recognized as Institute of National Importance by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.

They provide Post-graduate programs in Urology, Nephrology, MD (Anesthesia) and DA (Diploma in Anesthesia), PDCC- Post-Doctoral Certificate Course in Renal and Transplant Pathology.
Their academic activities include grand rounds, case discussions, conferences, workshops and library facilities featuring a useful collection of documents capable of meeting present and future user needs.
